"LarApacible" Our Family's Dedication
My name is Kay Haneda, and I’m blessed and thankful for giving us the opportunity to share our story of LarApacible, a candle and fragrance family brand I founded with my mother, Aki Haneda.
My mother’s dream has always been to share our family craft and spread the joy that a candle can bring to people's lives. Whether it's bringing back treasured memories or creating environments that offer an escape to a never-ending paradise.
It amazes us how many environments we can create from the fragrance of a candle, and how many memories we can bring back to the present and enjoy them all over again. I can really see what my mother found in her craft decades ago and why we both fell in love with it.
Ever since I was 6 years old, she taught me the core values of our family craft and the importance of dedicating our work for our communities.
Values such as “never settle for good enough” because people always deserve your best.
“Always strive for improvement” because a technique is as good as the time and effort you put in it.
“Focus on High-Quality Ingredients and Near Perfect Polishes” Because people’s treasured memories deserve it,
and most importantly...
“Make Everyone Feel Like Family” because it is the essence of our purpose.

Our dedication to mastering our craft has allowed us to also come up with a new angle pioneered by my mother that is to bring a different take with heritage on what a candle is and should look like.
Coming from a Japanese heritage, my mother and I worked our best on bringing fragrances that are unique and refreshing, as well as blending the proper wax mix that can ensure a clean air and environment without compromising the strength of our fragrances.
We then proceeded to work on the most usual topic of every candle,,, Our ceramic vessels…
This was the main piece that helped us change the idea of what a typical candle is.
Although we heard many times that a container does not matter due to the fact that people tossed them in the trash when empty, we decided to work on ways where our candle style can become a timeless decorative piece.
How about a stylish Japanese ceramic that can be replenished? We thought.
And with that my mother and I crafted a way to replenish every of our ceramics allowing everyone in our communities to fill them with any of the fragrances that their hearts desire.
With all this excitement we made the final touch, or the polish as my mom refers to it, our style of packaging… Furoshiki Wrap.
We chose this last piece as a way of expressing the bond between my mom and I and to wish a close bond for you and your loved ones… It is in our tradition to wrap everything that we give to a significant person, (especially something given from a parent to a child or a loved one) with a Furoshiki wrap as it represents love, care and thoughtfulness to that special person you have in your life.
I treasure every moment of my life and I am blessed to be sharing them with my mother and with you as we embark in this journey together sharing with you and more people our craft and our purpose of reigniting your much treasured memories
We wish for our family brand LarApacible to become a symbol that represents the deep bond between a parent and their children, a symbol of love, caring and dedication that we have for one another.
